Serendipity: Lyrics

  1. Love and Serenity

Feel the cosmic energy stream into your body

Let the wind embrace your body

Let the sound of the music refresh your soul

Take a dip into the world of love and serenity

By Nasta Labada

  1. Appreciation

Give yourself freedom to try out new things

Laugh and have a good time

Open yourself up to love

Take part in the beauty of nature

Be appreciative of all that you have

Help those less fortunate than you

Work towards peace in the world

Live life to the fullest

Create your own dreams and

follow them until they are a reality

by Susan Polis Schutz

  1. Drum on your Drums

Drum on your drums, batter on your banjoes, sob on the long cool winding saxophones. Go to it, O jazzmen.

Sling your knuckles on the bottoms of the happy tin pans, let your trombones ooze, and go husha-husha-hush with the slippery sand-paper.

Moan like an autumn wind high in the lonesome tree-tops, moan soft like you wanted somebody terrible, cry like a racing car, slipping away from a motor-cycle cop. bang-bang! you jazzmen, bang altogether drums, traps, banjoes, horns, tin cans – make two people fight on the top of a stairway and scratch each other’s eyes in a clinch tumbling down the stairs

By Carl Sandburg (poem “Jazz Fantasia”)

  1. Sea-Shells Hide-Away

Take a dip into the ocean of your thoughts and emotions

Hide yourself in the sea-shells

Let the morning bay wash away your body and soul

Float with the ocean

By Nasta Labada

  1. Deep Inside

Feel the serendipity in your soul

Reunite with the universe

Let it float

Let your life float on the wings of time

By Nasta Labada

  1. Life without Limits

What if happiness starts now? What if the joy is inside of you?

Live your life without limits

Enjoy every minute of today – tomorrow it’s gonna’ be the nostalgia ‘bout the past

Open your heart and enjoy loving and being loved

Let your body and soul relax

By Nasta Labada

  1. Dreams are True

Always create your own dreams and

Live life to the fullest

Dreams can come true

if you take the time to think about what you want in life

Get to know yourself

Find out who you are

Choose your goals carefully

Be honest with yourself

Always believe in yourself

Find many interests and pursue them

Find out what is important to you

Find out what you are good at

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes

Work hard to achieve successes

When things are not going right don’t give up – just try harder

 by Susan Polis Schutz

  1. I Celebrate Myself

I celebrate myself, and sing myself,

And what I assume you shall assume,

For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

I loafe and invite my soul,

I lean and loafe at my ease observing a spear of summer grass.

My tongue, every atom of my blood, form’d from this soil, this air,

Born here of parents born  here  from  parents the same,  and

their parents the same,

I, now thirty-seven years old in perfect health begin,

Hoping to cease not till death.

Creeds and schools in abeyance,

Retiring   back   a   while   sufficed   at   what   they   are,   but   never forgotten,

I harbor for good or bad, I permit to speak at every hazard, Nature without check with original energy.

By Walt Whitman
